A GWYNEDD shoplifter wrapped aluminium foil around security tags in a bid to steal four bottles of vodka from Asda at Pwllheli, a special court heard on Saturday.
Christopher Williams, 47, of North Penrallt, Caernarfon, admitted having the foil for theft, theft and disorderly behaviour.
Magistrates at Llandudno activated a 22-week suspended jail term and imposed four weeks in custody on top.
Prosecutor Nia Lloyd said he had been caught previously shoplifting at the store.
When asked by staff to stop on Friday he replied “**** off".
Glyn Roberts, defending, said Williams was a man “with difficulties.”
