MALLY FC added yet another trophy to their ever-growing list of honours as they beat FC Prestatyn 5-0 to claim the NWCFA Sunday Challenege Cup.

The dominant Rhyl & District Sunday League side put in a strong display to be crowned champions.

Lee Ellis opened the scoring after just 14 minutes before he grabbed a second from the penalty spot just four minutes later. Ellis then completed his hat-trick just before half time to give Mally a convincing lead.

Mally's goalkeeper Mike Hughes had his say in the second half when he saved a penalty before two more goals flew in the last 20 minutes to hand the club a convincing scoreline alongside the cup itself.

The win sees Mally claim their 13th honour since forming as a side in the 2012/13 season. It is also the fourth time they have won the Challenge Cup.

Next Sunday sees another two cup finals take place as the Sun Inn will face the Swan Inn in the Peter Davies Memorial Cup (11am) and Mally will face The Alex in the Lee Jones Memorial Cup (2pm).
