A FAMILY trio from Llandudno are set to appear on a TV show after being scouted via a Youtube video.

Cerys Davies, 21, and grandparents, Melody and Tony, appeared in her 'Welsh Grandma and Grandpa do my voiceover’ video in 2017.

They are set to feature on a new BBC One daytime show - ‘The Customer is Always Right’ - after being contacted by producers Firecracker Films.

The show will see products, designed by British entrepreneurs, given honest feedback from testers - including Cerys, Melody and Tony.

“I thought it was a great opportunity and it sounded like it would be fun,” said Cerys, who is a fashion student at Derby University.

“We’re on the show as a family of three, a student and two retired grandparents. We react, try and review a variety of items ranging from pet accessories to kitchen gadgets.

“Episodes were filmed in Llandudno at my grandparents house. It was really exciting as the items were wrapped when we got them so we never knew what we were going to be testing.

“It was all very funny and something new as my grandparents aren’t used to being on camera.”

Cerys, who lives a 10 minute walk away from her Melody and Tony's house, added that their relationship has always been a “very close one”.

“When I was younger I used to go to art classes, games evenings and join them in their walking group," she said.

"We filmed a few videos before this but this has been such a unique excuse to get together so often. Some of the things we have done have been amazing."

'The Customer is Always Right’ is airing every weekday. Cerys, Tony and Melody feature in episodes six, eight, nine, 10 and 14.
