A man who admitted a shoplifting spree in which spirits worth £1,028 were stolen has been remanded in custody.
John Wilford Roberts, 42, of Seaview Road, Colwyn Bay, had targeted Asda at Llandudno, the Co-op at Llanrwst and Tesco at Llandudno Junction, a weekend special court heard.
He pleaded guilty to seven charges and will be back in court later this week for a report from the probation service.
Prosecuting at Llandudno Diane Williams said the thefts were in March and April. She said Roberts, who had past convictions, had shown a complete disregard to a previous order of the court and was already on a community order.
Nia Dawson, defending, said probation advice would be of assistance. He was now using alcohol as a prop because of his attempts to stop using drugs.
Announcing that Roberts would remain in custody court chairman David Davies told him: "Our reasons are the likelihood of further offences, your previous record and failure to comply with court orders.”
