HUNDREDS of people from across North Wales have taken to social media to pay tribute to a teenager who died off the coast of Llandudno.

Ysgol John Bright pupil Dylan Brown, who was 13 and lived in the seaside town, had been rescued from the water at Pigeon's Cove, on the Great Orme at about 9.20pm on Saturday.

He was airlifted to Bangor Hospital but later died.

On Sunday, Samuel Luke Williams, who is the father of Dylan's sister Kelly's baby, released a statement on behalf of the family.

"On behalf of his mother, brothers and sisters, they would like to thank everybody for their kind words and actions in this tragic situation," he said.

"Although this has absolutely destroyed the family, their faith in humanity has been restored.

"Dylan was a lovely, happy, funny, polite and well-mannered kid who loved his YouTube and Xbox."
