AN APPEAL has been launched for a disused school in Llandudno Junction to be converted into a medical centre.
Cllr Mike Priestley, who represents the area, said: “Instead of trying to shoehorn a doctor’s surgery into a residential area, it would be far better to use Ysgol Nant-y-Coed which is currently empty, as a proper medical centre for the area. The building is owned by Conwy County Borough Council.
“It would have space for a surgery and would also have room for facilities as clinics for podiatry and other such medical services. The Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board could also use it for outreach services.
“In one hit it would solve a number of local problems.”
