GWYNEDD is in business to celebrate a special week promoting trade and enterprise.

A variety of events are on-offer for companies across the county during Gwynedd Business Week, 2019.

Held from from May 20 - 24 it includes workshops for new start-up businesses, as well as events for long-established Gwynedd companies.

Councillor Gareth Thomas, Gwynedd Council, cabinet member for economic development, said:

“Gwynedd Business Week gives us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and promote local business success.

"Once again, the busy week of events which are taking place across the county will offer a great opportunity for local firms of all sizes to come together to learn about how to grow their business, network and exchange ideas.”

Events include a Business Networking in Dolgellau, Business Wales events at Botwnnog and Porthmadog, a Welsh Slate Business session held at Penygroes, and a LinkedIn for Business workshop at Caernarfon Airport.

The highlight will be the Gwynedd Business Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday, May 23, at the Bangor University Management Centre, which is a chance for business leaders from across Gwynedd to share ideas and celebrate the county’s business successes.

During the dinner, awards will be presented to the Gwynedd Business Person of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Tourism Business of the Year, Business Innovation Award and the Gwynedd branch of the Federation of Small Businesses will present an award to the Young Entrepreneur that has successfully established a business in the current year and has positively contributed to the economy of Gwynedd.
