ROARING laughter will sound out from the ramparts of Conwy Castle later this month.

On Friday May 31st, a raft of comedians are being brought together to raise funds for St David's Hospice for the first ever Comedy at the Castle.

Extra tickets have been released for evening, which will be hosted by Colwyn Bay's Stand Up at the Seaside’s compere Dave Rothnie.

A former winner of the coveted North West comedian of the year award, he will MC side-splittingly funny comedy for all to enjoy.

Brow beaten Welsh comedian Tudur Owen will headline Comedy at the Castle

The Hospice’ Patron and well-known Welsh comedian Tudur Owen will be will be headlining the evening. Extremely funny, he has a string of TV and radio credits to his name, and is a regular at the Edinburgh Festival.

Comedian, writer and juggler Steve Royle

Steve Royle will also be performing, a regular headliner at the Comedy Store, plus actor, writer, comedian, juggler, and regular presenter on BBC Radio Lancashire. He has performed alongside the likes of Steve Coogan and Peter Kay, with whom he starred in Phoenix Nights.

Hilarious and unique comic Ignacio Lopez

Bringing his own unique and hilarious style, Ignacio Lopez will take the stage, giving his slant on what it is to be a Spaniard living in Wales. He is known for wowing the audience with his individual style.

Fundraising and Events Manager, Andrew Everley, Andrew Everley said: “This new fundraising event has proved very popular with already 200 tickets sold which is great news. We have 50 more tickets available."

The performance, which starts at 7pm, will be predominantly in the English language and will be unreserved seating - so bring your own chair.
