TWO casualties were taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital after a car crashed through the railings at Rhos-on-Sea promenade.
The car landed on the rocks on the beach.
This incident happened on Tuesday afternoon at about 5pm. Emergency services including ambulance, police, fire crews and coastguards all attended.
At one point, about 18 emergency workers were seen on the beach as attempts were made to remove the casualties from the vehicle safely.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on May 14 about 4.55pm to reports of a car having fallen onto the beach from the promenade at Rhos on Sea. We responded with one rapid response vehicle and two emergency ambulances.”
A spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We were called at 5.01pm and the stop time was at 6pm.
"One vehicle was involved and we assisted the ambulance.
"We used hydraulic cutting gear to remove two people from the vehicle.
"Two appliances attended - one from Llandudno and one from Colwyn Bay."
It is not clear how the incident happened.
One person, who was at the scene, said she believed that the driver had tried to pull out of a parking bay but had not realised the car was in reverse. This has not been confirmed.
An orange cover was put over the windscreen while emergency services removed the casualties. They were then carried out to the waiting ambulances on stretchers.
The incident happened just opposite the Welcome to Rhos on Sea sign.
North Wales Police are appealing for information. Telephone 101 and quote X066085.
