THE glorious sound of male voice choirs will once again be heard on Mostyn Street this summer.

St John's Methodist Church will opens its doors to host its concert season, with four choirs from across Wales heading to Llandudno this month.

From early-May to mid-October top male voice choirs from around the area will be singing every Tuesday evening, with yet more choirs joining the church.

On Thursdays, the performances will be presented with the added bonus of accompaniment from hand-picked soloists and singers from the area, including Dylan Cernyw and Eleri Owen Edwards in her last performance season.

On Thursday 23, Hogia’r Ddwylan Male Voice Choir will travel to the town from their home on the shores of the Menai Straits, with support from Holywell soloist Twm Tegid.

The following week on Tuesday, May 28 will welcome Dyffryn Peris Male Voice Choir of Llanberris, who in their 29 year history have already performed across France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Brittany and Spain.

Thursday, May 30 will round of the season's first month of choral music with a choir from closer to home, with Llandudno's Cor Meibion Maelgwn and soloist Jane Hartley.

To treat yourself to the beautiful sound of Wales' choral tradition in a stunningly atmospheric grade II listed church with renowned acoustics head to St John's Methodist Church this month.
