A PROLIFIC fundraiser and record-breaker from Old Colwyn is about to embark on her latest journey - alongside her beloved dog.

Steph Jeavons became the first Brit to circumnavigate the world when she hopped on her Honda CRF250L motorbike to travel across all seven continents during a four-year-long trip between 2014 and 2018.

This time around, the 43-year-old, will be inviting her Collie, Chui, along for the ride as the pair take on a three peaks challenge on home soil.

Setting off from Ben Nevis on June 14, Steph and Chui will travel 1,000km on foot, and carry 12kg of camping equipment along with them as they go on to tackle Scafell Pike and Snowdon.

Steph, who is aiming to raise £3,000 for the Service Dogs UK and Assistance Dogs UK charities during the mammoth trek, said: "I thought I'd take this challenge on as it will give me more of a chance to see parts of my own country.

"I'm taking Chui along with me as I feel that I owe her a good walk after four years of being on the back of a motorbike.

"We will be mostly wild camping on route but anyone wishing to ride over and offer us cake, chocolate or doggy chews out of their top box along the way are more than welcome."

Steph, who is a mother of one, is estimating that her latest challenge will take 35 days to complete - working on the basis that she and Chui will tackle 17 miles a day.

"If we can raise £100 a day we will reach our target. It's a tall order but I'm hoping lots of people will get behind what I truly believe to be a worthwhile cause."

Both of Steph's chosen charities help improve the lives of people with Autism, Epilepsy, PTSD and many more health issues by introducing them to specially trained dogs.
