FIREFIGHTERS were called to a home in Old Colwyn after two sheds caught fire on Thursday night.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS) sent one crew to the property on Isfryn Road, near Swn y Don Primary School.

The fire was started deliberately, the fire service said.

An NWFRS spokesperson said: "We sent one crew from Colwyn Bay to a property on Isfryn Road at 11.53pm after reports that a garden shed was on fire.

"The fire was deliberate, and spread to a second shed.

"It caused damage to six glass panels and plastic wiring outside the house.

"Two hose reels and breathing apparatus were used."

The crew put out the fire at 12.51am on Friday.
