A COLWYN Bay school pupil and golf star has earned a place in the Wales under 18s international squad.
Reuben Bather, a pupil at Rydal Penrhos, will head to the continent with the Wales squad, to compete in the European Boys Team Championship in July.
This is the latest in a series of notable achievements for Reuben, who is a scratch handicapper and was appointed junior captain at Maesdu Golf Club for the second successive summer.
The squad will compete in division two of the competition, to be be held at Toya Golf club in Poland.
Reuben has developed his game considerably as part of Rydal Penrhos’ sports scholarship programme and the additional training he has received from specialist coaches working with the academy.
