STUDENTS from a performing arts group in Llandudno dazzled the crowds during a spectacular performance of their brand new show at Her Majesty's Theatre in London.

Youngsters from the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA) performed 'Trouble's A Brewin' at the esteemed venue on June 23.

As part of PQA’s curriculum, students had the opportunity to perform in the heart of London’s theatreland and get to experience the thrill and buzz of performing on a West End stage.

The group had the freedom to be as imaginative with their part of the show as they liked, from the casting and staging right through to the choreography.

'Trouble's A Brewin' is a musical comedy set in a fictional Midwest town in the 1870s. Sheriff Trifle is on the hunt for a group of bandits who threaten to disturb the peace ahead of the town’s eleventh birthday.

PQA Llandudno principal, April Herzog, said “Students, staff and parents alike were all so excited to be making our West End debut.

"Children as young as 6 years old travelled to London this weekend to tread the boards at Her Majesty’s Theatre, with students up to the age of 18 taking the lead roles.

"To perform on the West End stage is many an actor’s dream, so for our budding young stars in North Wales to get the opportunity to do so was simply incredible.

"All our young performers simply blew us away. It was a magical experience and one which we’ll all remember for many, many years to come."

With many more performances of Trouble’s A Brewin’ scheduled for this year, PQA students from around the UK are now set to continue to take the West End by storm.
