THE chance to catch a homegrown official selection of Toronto International Film Festival awaits in Colwyn Bay.
Theatr Colwyn's Rialto film screenings will offer lovers of Welsh cinema the opportunity to view dark folk tale Gwen on Monday, September 2 at 7.30pm.
In the stark beauty of 19th Century Snowdonia a young girl, Gwen - played by Britannia actor Eleanor Worthington-Cox - tries desperately to hold her home together.
Struggling with her mother’s - The Village's Maxine Peake – mysterious illness, her father’s - Hinterland's Richard Harrington – absence and a ruthless mining company encroaching on their land, a growing darkness begins to take grip of her home, and the suspicious community turns on Gwen and her family.
Tickets are £7, to book visit theatrcolwyn.co.uk or call the box office on 01492 556677.
