THE subject of this week’s Classrom Call are primary school pupils in Llangollen.
Ysgol Gynradd Froncysyllte, situated near the Pontcysllyte Aqueduct, is federated with Garth C.P. School in Trevor and the Pentre Church in Wales controlled primary school in Chirk.
This week, its year two pupils turned into Vikings for the day while studying the sea-faring warriors’ links to Britain. They made axes, swords and shields by hand, just as the Vikings would have done.
Meanwhile the reception class studied nature close-up, and planted seeds and watered the seedlings that are now ready for the school’s communal garden.
