A BLOOMING great tea party will be held at the end of the blooming great longest pier in Wales.

The Blooming Great Tea Party is the annual fundraising event for the Marie Curie charity.

The event aims to raise funds to support the local Marie Curie Nursing Services.

Victoria Hardy, the North Wales Community Fundraiser for Marie Curie, said: “This year’s Tea Party will be held at the end of Llandudno Pier on Saturday July 20, between 10am and 4pm. We will be serving homemade cakes and refreshments along with a super tombola.

“There’s great fun to be had for all on the pier, with cakes a plenty, including gluten free options and even doggy biscuits for any four legged friends. It will be a blooming great time for everyone.

She added: “The local fundraising group was formed seven years ago, and in this time we have raised more than a blooming great £138,000. This will be our fifth year of running this event at the pier. It has proved to be hugely popular with local people and holiday makers alike, and we are hoping that this year will be our blooming best yet.”

Local volunteer, Myra Illingworth said “I absolutely love this event. It feels good to know that every penny of what we raise is used to support local people and their families at the time when they need it most. Marie Curie provides care and support to people living with a terminal illness in the comfort of their own home”.
