Lisa Kovacs said: “This is a wonderful and very generous donation by the Steve Morgan Foundation. It is so important that our pupils can gain access to all the community can offer and having available and specially adapted vehicles is vital to help us make this happen for all our pupils. The generous school supporters have worked hard to raise the funds for our contribution, for which we are very grateful.”

Ysgol y Gogarth is a day and residential special school currently catering for approximately 230 pupils between the ages of 3 and 19. The bus will be used regularly to transport children, young people and staff to a wide variety of off-site activities to enrich and broaden their curriculum experiences.

She added: “The aim was to raise money for a new minibus to supplement the schools’ aging fleet. Since the vehicle cost was more than £30,000, substantially more than the Ysgol Gogarth supporters could ever raise, the challenge was huge, but aspirations were high.”
