Frank Halliwell, choir member, said: "Many of the choir don’t remember the first visit to Llandudno but we have been coming well over 20 years to enjoy a few nights stay in one of Llandudno’s fine hotels, to enjoy the pier, the promenade, the Great Orme and various other attractions, and then singing at St John’s and the splendid Holy Trinity Church.

"Our party of choristers, wives, friends and followers never fail to enjoy their stay.

"Our time in Llandudno and the welcome we receive help builds friendship and sociability which the choir is known for.

"Anyone watching the choir will be aware of how much we enjoy singing together and entertaining our audiences.

"Most of our concerts are devoted to raising money for the church or for various charities. Our repertoire is now wide, including sacred music, traditional male voice pieces and more modern well-known songs from various musicals."

The group is proud to continue the miners’ legacy. Its motto is "e tenebris lux", meaning out of the darkness light.
