HORSES to be exhibited at the Eglwysbach show have to vaccinated against equine flu, its organisers have decided.
A spokesman for the show said: “Following the recent North Wales equine influenza outbreak the committee of the light horse section of the Eglwysbach Show have decided the welfare of horses must come first." The show is scheduled to be held on Saturday August 19.
“Therefore all equines attending this years show must be properly vaccinated with a current valid flu vaccination record. Random checks will be made on the day please ensure all horses competing at the show have their passports.
“This decision has not been taken lightly and we are aware of the impact that this may have.”
