STAND-UP at the Seaside is back to kick the summer holidays off on a funny note.

The monthly comedy club returns to The Station - after side-splitting sojourn to Conwy castle last month - on Saturday, July 27 with another line-up of top talent including Harriet Dyer, Stephen Cookson and Simon Lomas, as well as the faithful resident MC Dave Rothnie.

This month the returning Dyer tops the bill with her fantastically surreal set that will provide a exclusive glimpse of her 2019 Edinburgh fringe show.

Rothnie said: "It’s hard to be unique in comedy but Harriet is one of the most original and brilliant acts to have graced the circuit in years.”

“She went down a storm last time she was here so it’s great to welcome her back.”

She will be joined by one-liner specialist Stephen Cookson, who has drawn admiring reviews from and comparisons with the likes of Gary Delaney.

This stellar line-up is rounded off with Simon Lomas, one of the most exciting emerging acts on the circuit.

The evening will include the regular audience joke competition with prizes.

Rothnie added: “There’s always something for everyone at Stand-up at the Seaside, so why not get the summer holidays off to a hilarious start.”

Tickets are £12.50,to book tickets and tables contact Mr Rothnie on 07903682303, via dcrothnie@gmail.com or the venue on 01492 532818.
