AN AMATEUR drama group is hosting two workshops ahead of its next pantomime.

CHAPS - Civic Hall Amateur Players Society - will be putting on Humpty Dumpty.

The group is also on a recruitment drive and is appealing for new members.

A workshop will run on Wednesday, July 24 and Wednesday, August 14 at 7.30pm at the Peniel Chapel in Deganwy.

New members can meet current CHAPS members before taking part in a workshop featuring acting, singing and dancing for Humpty Dumpty.

A spokesperson for Chaps said: "The story will be traditional panto with a twist. All the usual elements will be there.

"It will absolutely be family friendly, to suit any age.

"The youngest child, the oldest vicar, will all be able to enjoy it."

Anyone is welcome to attend the workshops.

There are plenty of roles to cast - principals, smaller roles as well as chorus members.

The spokesperson added: "We seek people with a range of attributes and experience - the most important of which is enthusiasm."
