KINDNESS and love was Llandudno Mayor’s theme for the town’s Civic Sunday.

Cllr Angela O’Grady, the Mayor, also took time in her speech to the town, to thank the town’s volunteers.

She said: “It was such a lovely day and it gave me the opportunity to thank the whole town and all the people who volunteer to help others in the town.

"In particular I'd like to express my thanks to Father Moses of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church for his support with the Civic Service.

“My theme was kindness and love and how proud I am to be Mayor of such a wonderful town.”

The Civic Sunday started with the traditional parade which assembled at the town hall. headed by and headed by Llandudno Town Band the procession lead by the Mayor marched across Mostyn Street and the Promenade to the War Memorial. At the War Memorial the band, standard bearers, the Mayor and party and town councillors took up their positions to its front and side when the Last Post was sounded, and the Mayor will laid a wreath. The procession then proceeded to Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church for the Civic Service.

After the service the parade reformed outside the Church and proceeded along Lloyd Street passed the Town Hall where the salute was taken by the Mayor, and then on across Mostyn Street to St George’s Place where it was dismissed.
