A FESTIVAL of music and song at the Rhyl Pavilion has raised £1,400 for a Llandudno hospice.
The North Wales branch of the National Association of Retired Police Officers (NARPO) held ‘the festival to celebrate 100 years of the organisation. Acts included National Eisteddfod winner, Eleri Woolford, Harpist Sian Llewelyn and Cor Meibion Colwyn.
The proceeds from the concert were donated to a number of charities including St David’s Hospice.
Richard Jones, chairman of the Denbigh branch of NARPO and concert organiser said: “Despite a day of terrible wind and rain the concert was a big success and had 400 to 500 people attend.
“I enjoyed every act in the event and hope the money and awareness raised helps St David’s Hospice continue its good work.”
