A TOTAL of six people have been involved in two separate accidents on the A55 Expressway.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service used cutting equipment to release a man trapped in car between Junctions 23 and 24 eastbound, between Llanddulas and Abergele, late afternoon on Wednesday August 7. A Fire Service spokesperson said: “Fire engines from Rhyl and Abergele were called to the scene.”
The second accident was close to Junction 9 on the westbound carriageway on the Gwynedd side of the Britannia Bridge. A man, woman and an eight year old boy were taken out of one car and received first aid on the scene by an ambulance crew before being taken to hospital.
A man and 12 year old boy from the other car, who were described by the Fire Service as: “Walking wounded”, received first aid. Fire appliances from Caernarfon, Bangor and Menai Bridge were called to the incident.
