BRAVE fundraisers are needed to take on the hottest challenge ever.

The Firewalk event, organised by Tenovus Cancer Care, will take place at Porth Eirias Waterfront Complex in Colwyn Bay on Thursday, September 5.

There are 100 spaces available.

Participants will walk across 15-20ft of red-hot embers smouldering at temperatures up to 800°c.

Debbie Rowley, Community Fundraiser for Tenovus Cancer Care, said: “We’re really excited to bring this unique event to North Wales for the first time.

“It’s open to anyone aged 16 and above and is suitable for all abilities. The fire walking is great fun and a great chance to do something really different to raise money for cancer patients and their loved ones.

“While it may sound scary it’s very safe and the event will be delivered by Time4Change, who have been putting on these events for more than 30 years and have a 100 per cent safety record.

“It promises to be a fantastic event and we’re so grateful to sponsors Coast Gift Shop and Café from Rhos on Sea for making it possible. You will also be entertained on the evening by Sing with Us Llandudno and Inferno Wales Group."

Registration is just £12 and Tenovus Cancer Care asks all participants to aim to raise a minimum of £80 in sponsorship.

The spectacular evening will also feature a performance from North Wales-based fire breathers Inferno and a songs from Llandudno Sing with Us choir.

The event will run from 6.45pm until 10pm. Visit
