LLANDUDO RNLI is to hold an open day for the public at the lifeboat house on the promenade at Craig-y-Don.
The open day will take place on Sunday August 18 between 11am to 4pm.
Sue Perkins of the Llandudno Supporters Group said: “This year will be an even grander event than before and all visitors and families are all very welcome. We will have stalls, refreshments, souvenirs, games, music and the Batala Drummers and of course our famous mascot Stormy Stan”.
Central to the day will be the opportunity to see the lifeboats, meet the crew and look around the boathouse. There will also be special guided tours of the all weather new Shannon class lifeboat the William F Yates.”
In the afternoon at 2pm the lifeboats will be launched to demonstrate their capabilities and will be joined at 2.45pm by the HM Coastguard rescue helicopter for a joint exercise just offshore.
