A Merseyside man appeared in court accused of two knifepoint robberies in two days at stores in Penrhyn Bay and Llandudno.
Leon Carl Jones, 42, of Beresford Road, Oxton, Birkenhead, did not apply for bail at Llandudno Magistrates and was sent to Caernarfon crown court in custody.
He will appear there on September 16.
Angharad Mullarkey, prosecuting at the special court, said that on Monday John Parkinson was robbed of £258 at the Broadway store in Penrhyn Bay, and on Wednesday Sunny Thomas of £140 at Billy Mac's in Llandudno.
Nia Dawson, defending, said Jones does not accept his guilt.
