A PROUD mum is to walk blindfold along Llandudno’s promenade to raise money to repair a memorial bench.
The bench, which commemorates Helen Robertson’s daughter Holly, was damaged by vandals.
Helen is undertaking the blindfold walk on Saturday August 31, starting at 11am, to raise money for the bench, which was located near Dylan’s restaurant, to be repaired. Holly died in her sleep at the age of 29 in, at her home in Craig y Don.
Helen will walk from Dylan’s restaurant to the War Memorial, with her grandson Dyfan, aged 10, holding her hand and leading her.
She said: “The repairs will cost £300, and already we’ve raised a little more than £100 from crowd funding. I’m contributing some of my own money and I’d like to raise another £100.”
