A 26 YEAR old man has pleaded guilty to wounding another young man who was said to be seriously injured after a one punch blow.
Lee Ainsworth of Parc Bodnant, Llandudno did not seek bail at a special weekend court in the town and his solicitor Simon Sargent said he was remorseful "and was taking a realistic view."
Anouska Youds, prosecuting, said the victim Graham Geal had serious head injuries and had been in an induced coma in a trauma unit at Stoke on Trent.
She said: "One punch possibly followed by an elbow", had been involved. It happened in Llandudno on Thursday.
She said the case should go to the Crown Court: "due to the serious nature of the injuries."
Mr Sargent said Ainsworth had asked him to make clear there was no intention to cause such injuries.
He added : "He's extremely upset at the outcome and extremely remorseful. He's accepted responsibility."
Court chairman David Subbachi said : "We have insufficient powers to deal with this matter."
Ainsworth was sent in custody to appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on September 20.
