A CALL for volunteers to clean up Conwy Morfa beach has been made.
The Mayor of Conwy cllr Goronwy Edwards and the town council have organised a litter picking session on the beach on Saturday September 21 between 10am and 1pm.
Volunteers are asked to meet at Conwy Morfa beach car park near the caravan park.
Cllr Eva Roberts said: “As part of World Clean up day we felt it is important we do something which involves the community and engage groups and individuals."
“Cleaning the beach seemed an appropriate task to take on, particularly as the oceans have so much plastic floating in them and this with other material is being continually washed ashore.”
If you would like to come along email info@conwytowncouncil.gov.uk or turn up on the day to receive your safety equipment.
