A Birkenhead man has admitted robbing two shops in the Llandudno area.
Leon Jones, 42, of Beresford Road, Oxton, was warned by Judge Rhys Rowlands at Caernarfon crown court: ”You must realise, although you pleaded guilty and will be given credit, these are extremely serious matters and you must prepare yourself for a custodial sentence of some length I would have thought.”
He was remanded in custody until sentencing on November 1.
Defence barrister Elen Owen said Jones had serious psychiatric issues and had been an inpatient in hospital. The defence were seeking a psychiatric report.
Jones admitted robbing the Premier Broadway store at Penrhyn Bay of £255 on August 12, threatening a woman with a knife, and robbery two days later of £150 at Billy Mac’s, Llandudno.
