IF YOU missed Mamma Mia when it last came Llandudno - 'take a chance' on seeing the feel-good musical when it returns to the theatre next year.

Mamma Mia! will return to Venue Cymru for one week in 2020 as part of a UK and international tour celebrating 20 years since the musical premiered in London in April 1999.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 4 at 10am.

Venue Cymru Premier Card Members can purchase tickets from Wednesday, October 2 at 10am.

Richard Jones, marketing manager at Venue Cymru, said: "It’s such fab news that Mamma Mia! is returning to Llandudno in 2020.

"This will be the highlight of our Autumn Season."

Mamma Mia! features Abba's timeless songs and the 'sunny, funny tale' of a mother, a daughter and three possible dads on a Greek island.

To date it has been seen by more than 65 million people in 50 productions in 16 different languages.

In 2011 it became the first Western musical ever to be staged in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China.

The musical became the eight longest running show in Broadway history where it played a record-breaking run for 14 years. It continues to delight audiences in London’s West End at the Novello Theatre where it celebrated its 20th Anniversary on April 6 2019.

Music and lyrics are by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus. The UK and International Tour is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in association with Universal and NGM.
