HAVE no fear comedy fans, it's business as usual for Stand-up at the Seaside.

While the monthly comedy night's usual venue The Station is now closed, the business' new management will allow the event to continue to stage side-splitting events at its usual slot on the last Saturday of every month.

For the next instalment on Saturday, October 26 at 8pm will see another brilliant line-up take to The station stage with Susan Murray - hailed by Stewart Lee for her "'intelligent, dry wit" - Red Richardson, George Rigden and, as always MC Dave Rothnie with his audience joke competition.

Rothnie said: "We've run this monthly night for almost three years and want to keep it going in Colwyn Bay so as long as the pub is open, we will be providing the best in live stand-up comedy.

"We had a conversation with the new management this week and they are committed to keeping Stand-up at the Seaside in the room upstairs in We don't know when the venue will re-open but I am told its transformation from Posh Spice to Sporty Spice should be complete in time for the next comedy night on Saturday October 26. Don't worry - upstairs will stay the same.

"If the pub does not re-open, we are looking at alternative venues in case a back-up is needed. Thank you for your incredible support over the last few years and here's to many more."

Tickets are £12.50, to book contact Mr Rothnie via dcrothnie@gmail.com or the event's Facebook page.
