A OPEN evening was held at Llandudno's Boathouse climbing centre.

Andy and Emma-Jane Sutcliffe opened the boathouse more than six months ago at the town's old lifeboat station.

The open evening was an opportunity to meet and look around the historic building, and try out some climbing.

Cllr Angie O’Grady, mayor of Llandudno, who attended with Miss Alice, Milly Woodyatt, said: "Climbing is a sport that is becoming very popular.

"This venue is an asset to Llandudno.

"It is lovely that Andy and Emma-Jane have designed the building and the climbing walls to fit in with the original build and maintained the importance of the history of the building and have truly kept the feel of the RNLI."
