FIREFIGHTERS had to cut people out of a vehicle following a road accident in Llandudno Junction.

Four people went to hospital and one was treated at the scene.

The accident happened at Gilfach Road, near Bryn Pedw on Monday evening.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue service said: “We received a call at 8.20pm on Monday to attend an road traffic accident involving one vehicle.

“There were five casualties, four of whom were taken to hospital and the other was treated at the scene.

“Three of the people involved were cut out of the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment. Two crews from Llandudno attended the incident.”

A spokesperson for the Wales Ambualnce service said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic accident involving a single vehicle in Llandudno Junction. We responded with one rapid response vehicle and two emergency ambulances. One patient was transported to Ysbyty Gwynedd Hospital, Bangor.” It is believed the other people made their own way to hospital.
