THE Ambassador Hotel in Llandudno has been taken into administration.

However the hotel, which has 57 bedrooms and employs 20 people, will continue to trade under the control of the liquidators, insolvency practitioner Grant Thornton. A spokesperson for Grant Thornton said: “The Ambassador Hotel continues to trade as normal under the liquidator’s control. There have been no job losses.”

The hotel employs 20 people.The announcement follows the news in August of two other local hotels being taken into administration. They are the Queens Hotel in Llandudno and Caer Rhun Hall in the Conwy Valley.

Cllr Angie O’Grady, Mayor of Llandudno, said: “It is a desperate situation for the company and the staff."
