A LLANDUDNO sportsman is heading to the United States in an effort to claim a world title.
Mike Egan will head to Florida next month, with a Thai boxing world title on the line.
"The next fight is taking place in Tampa Bay, Florida," said Egan.
"I'm really happy and grateful for the opportunity.
"I'm fighting Kachama Hylton for a world title under Thai boxing rules.
"I'm going to give it 110 per cent in the lead up and the fight.
"I'm not going all that way to lose!"
The fight will take place on November 16.
He is training twice a day whenever possible and he is doing most of his training at Gym 13 in Rhos on Sea.
"As soon as my fitness improves, I'll start looking at increasing my sparring and going to other gyms," he added.
