ONE of the most notorious noughties pranksters will swap Dirty Sanchez for clean eating in Prestatyn.

Matthew Pritchard, one of Newport’s most famous sons, will bring An Evening with Pritchard to Prestatyn Nova on Saturday, November 23 at 7.30pm.

Formerly part of the gloriously self-destructive foursome – alongside fellow Welshmen Lee Dainton and Michael ‘Pancho’ Locke as well as English co-conspirator Dan Joyce - on MTV's Dirty Sanchez, Pritchard has left behind his pranking days to make room for a more nourishing love of vegan food, health and fitness.

Indeed, in 2018 Pritchard was featured in the BBC Wales documentary Wild Man to Ironman charting the glutton for punishment's gruelling journey through a 487-mile triathlon around the coast of Wales

Now an author, Pritchard also released his first vegan cookbook Dirty Vegan in December 2018, followed by a series of the same name for BBC Wales which has now been commissioned for a sequel.

Following this fascinating about turn for Pritchard – who most fans are more accustomed to seeing jumping into a bushel of nettles rather than turning them into a wholesome soup – the star will join longtime friend Mike ‘DJ Kuta’ Lewis to discuss his life's work.

The Prestatyn based Lewis said: “We chose the NOVA because Pritchard’s story will appeal to gym users as much as fans of the show.

"He’s a super athlete now, which is a major change from our crazy nights together when I was Djing in Ibiza and he was partying in a rubber dinghy,

“He’s such a character, it’s impossible to say what we’ll talk about. Even though he’s settled down, he’s still unpredictable.”

The evening will featuring video clips and a talk from Pritchard, followed by an interview with Lewis and a Q and A.

Tickets are £10, to book visit novaprestatyn.co.uk or call 01824 712323.
