DO YOU want to buy a bus? Llew Jones Coaches of Llanrwst will be holding an auction of surplus vehicles.

The company will open its doors on Tuesday October 29 when it will host an auction of coaches, buses and minibuses, as well as a number of surplus parts and equipment. It is anticipated only companies in the bus and coach industry will be serious bidders.

It plans to renew its fleet after providing the official transport for the Welsh National Eisteddfod last summer.

Steve Jones, managing director, said: “The Eisteddfod was fantastic for the company as it was the largest single event undertaken by us, it went superbly, and it really emphasised what we can do.

“In preparation for the Eisteddfod we purchased, ran and maintained a lot more vehicles than usual so the auction is a great opportunity for us to move these vehicles on to new homes, which will allow us to have a more streamlined and sustainable workload going forward”.

The company received much public praise for its reliability and quality throughout the Eisteddfod particularly from Eisteddfod CEO Betsan Moses who said “It is nothing short of a miracle the Eisteddfod has been held in Llanrwst in such difficult conditions, the shuttle bus system they drew up and implemented worked amazingly and we are extremely grateful to the company”.

In total there are three minibuses, 14 buses and 13 coaches for sale along with

numerous workshop pieces including engines and parts.

The auction which will be conducted by Malcolm Harrison Auctions from 10am on Tuesday October 29 with viewing on Monday October 28 between 9am and 4pm. Details of the vehicles for sale can be seen at the auctioneer's website: www.malcolmharrison.co.uk for more details.
