ALL Saints Church, Deganwy is to celebrate the 120th anniversary of its consecration in 1899 with a special service.
The service will be held at 11am on Sunday, November 3 .The church was built on land given by Lord Mostyn and funded by his mother, Lady Henrietta Augusta Mostyn in memory of her parents, the Earl and Countess of Abergavenny.
Built at the foot of the Vardre, it was in a very prominent position and could be seen from miles around. Over the 120 years the church has been the scene of many baptisms, marriages and also funerals.
It has seen young men from Deganwy leave to fight in two world wars and recorded their deaths on the two War Memorials. The church has moved with the times and the installation of a toilet and kitchen has meant the church can invite the community in to use its cafe.
