COLWYN Bay promenade will be closed from 7pm until Monday morning because of the high tides and forecast northerly wind.
The combination of the high spring tides and a northerly swell could cause flooding on the promenade.
A Conwy Borough Council spokesperson said: “Both these factors tend to cause overtopping and debris thrown onto the promenade which would be a danger to the public.
“Council officers are on call during out of hours over the weekend and will monitor the situation.”
