THE king of the mods will pay a royal visit to Llandudno next spring.

Former frontman of The Jam and legendary solo artist Paul Weller will grace the Venue Cymru stage in May.

Hitting the road for his first tour since 2017, Llandudno is one of only 12 locations to welcome the mind behind A Town Called Malice, That's Entertainment, Peacock Suit and the Changingman.

Across an incredible career spanning more than four decades, the cult hero ' Modfather' has become synonymous with effortless cool , impeccable hair and for influencing many of the bands that would go on to establish 'Cool Britannia' in the 90s including Oasis and Blur.

Weller was last on the road when he played several shows as part of the regular Forest Live outdoor gigs in summer but is always most at home performing at great concert venues.

Following his well received 14th studio album - the more stripped back True Meanings last year - this new tour follows a busy period in the studio for the prolific artist, with the fruits of these labours certainly to surface in this unmissable visit to North Wales.

Any self respecting Mod won't want to miss Paul Weller at Venue Cymru on Tuesday, May 12 at 7pm.

Tickets are £46, and are available from venuecymru.co.uk or by calling the box office on 01492 872000 from 9am on Friday, November 1.
