CRAFT enthusiasts in Llandudno are getting together to light up one of the town's churches in the run up to Christmas.
A lantern-making workshop will take place at St Paul's Church, Craig y Don on Saturday November 9, starting at 2.30pm.
People taking part will be decorating glass jars with papercraft, crochet and paint to make unique lanterns.
The lanterns will be used to light the church at candlelit services in November and December.
Rev Noel Carter, rector of St Paul's, said: "The clocks have gone back, and we're heading into the darkness of winter, so we thought we'd try and brighten up the church with something individual and special. No experience needed, just enthusiasm to have a go.
"There's something atmospheric about a historic building lit by the flickering of candles, and these lanterns will get used for real to help light the church in the weeks leading up to Christmas."
The cost of the workshop is £5, including materials and refreshments.
