BTP North Wales intercepting passengers
PASSENGERS were intercepted by transport police at Bangor railway station.
The British Transport Police North Wales Tweeted they were stopping passengers as part of a 'county lines' drug operation, with North Wales Police in the city.
According to the National Crime Agency 'county lines' is a term used when drug gangs from big cities expand their operations to smaller towns.
They often use violence to drive out local dealers and exploit children and vulnerable people to sell drugs.
Two houses were also raided in the Bangor operation.
A BTP North Wales Tweet on Monday, at 1pm, said: "County lines day of action with North Wales Police at Bangor!
"Two house raids already, now intercepting passengers to the city."
