POLICE have issued a scam warning to the Vale of Clwyd after residents were frauded with “extortionately high fees”.
North Wales Police said it has received reports of incidents of traders who have charged significant amounts of cash for poor quality work.
The force urged residents not to “fall victim” to crime and smarten up on Trading Standards advice for dealing with scammers.
A spokesperson from the force’s communications team tweeted: “We have had reports in Ruthin of traders who are scamming members of the public out of cash.
“The traders are providing poor standards of work for extortionately high fees.
“Don’t fall victim to this crime.”
