A TEENAGER chosen to represent Wales on the Junior Eurovision stage is looking forward to reaching the pinnacle of her journey.
Erin Mai, of Llanrwst, won the S4C series Chwilio am Seren Junior Eurovision earlier this year.
Here she gained her ticket to represent Wales on the Junior Eurovision stage, where she will perform in front of millions.
Erin Mai, 14, said: "The whole experience has been like a dream come true. I never imagined that I’d be on my way to the Junior Eurovision final when I walked into my first audition on Chwilio am Seren Junior Eurovision."
The Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy pupil will be competing against 18 other European countries.
Erin Mai will be singing a song that has been specially composed for the competition, Calon yn Curo, which means ‘Heart Beating’ in Welsh.
"It will be very different from performing on stage at the Urdd Eisteddfod, I’ll tell you that," she added.
"I’ve never performed in front of so many people. Just like the song, my heart will definitely be beating very fast. I’m looking forward to stepping onto the Junior Eurovision stage, but I feel very nervous at the same time.
"Calon yn Curo is about conquering your fears and that’s exactly what I’m hoping to do."
The competition is held in Gliwice, Poland on November 24.
All the action will be available to watch live on S4C on Junior Eurovision: Y Ffeinal from 3pm.
Videos of Erin Mai performing Calon yn Curo have already reached more than 100,000 views on YouTube.
Before the live competition, there’s a chance for viewers to look back on Erin Mai’s journey. Erin yn Ewrop broadcasts on S4C on Saturday, November 23 at 7.15pm.
