WORLDS will collide this panto season as the magic of a classic Arabian tale will meets good, old fashioned vaudeville stagecraft.

Back again for 2019, Magic Light Productions the successful team behind the Theatr Colwyn Christmas Pantomimes presents a new fun-packed production of Aladdin.

This years show once again promises to delight young and old alike, with the classic story elements being there but with a few added surprises to keep audiences on the

edge of there seats.

Director Libby Edwards, who also stars as The Guardian of the Ring, said: “We can reveal that the Princess will be seen flying on a Magic Carpet, there will be a number of spectacular illusions throughout the storyline and the traditional magic lamp is given a whole new lease of life."

With a charming love story, comedy, magic, puppets and a happily ever after Aladdin is a true family panto.

Co- director and veteran dame Stuart Loughland, who plays Aladdin's mother Mrs Twankey said: “I am really excited to be back. Aladdin is one of our favourites because we get to include a lot more magic.

“The audience can expect high quality family entertainment which is what panto is all about. It is full of comedy and action and it is a great story.”

Also taking part in this action packed adventure is seasoned pantomime performer Steve Bloor as Wishee Washee and new to the cast Tomos Bohanna as the eponymous hero Aladdin.

On their journey they encounter Brendon Riley who returns as the scheming villain Abanazer, Jay Beadle as The Genie, Lukas Kirkby as the Emperor, Rhiannon Petrou as Princess Jasmine and PC Stop Em played by Stephen Owen.

The Pantomime also see's the return of the very popular Magic Light Puppets and The Pearl Shaw School of Performing Arts.

Prepare to be transported into the glittering and magical realm of Aladdin at Theatr Colwyn from Saturday, December 21 to Saturday, January 4.
