FUNDS of up to £5,000 are up for grabs to support events in Colwyn Bay to attract visitors.
A funding pot is to be set aside by the town council, which it hopes will pay for a number of events.
Proposed events must take place in the Bay of Colwyn area, including Old Colwyn and Rhos-on-Sea, between May 2020 and April 2021, be open to the general public and have the potential to attract significant visitor numbers.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in delivering events, or be willing and able to work with another organisation which can do so.
The Town Mayor, Cllr Neil Bastow, said: “Events continue to play a key role in attracting both local residents and visitors to our town, making it a vibrant place to live in and visit.
"The town council continues to support those willing and able to organise events, in the hope that we can have a year-round calendar of activities to appeal to all ages.”
For further information and to make an application contact the town clerk at: Town Hall, Rhiw Road, Colwyn Bay LL29 7TE, or by e-mail: clerk@colwyn-tc.gov.uk.
The closing date for receipt of completed applications is noon on Thursday January 2, 2020.
