A CHILD sustained 'potential serious injuries' after a collision with a car in Mold.
Inspector Steve Owens of the South Flintshire policing team said the incident occurred on Chester Street at 4.30pm on November 22.
He added: "The child (aged 12) was transported to Alder Hey specialist trauma team with potential serious injuries.
"He has since been operated on and received the necessary care and attention.
"The driver was spoken to at the scene and has been interviewed in relation to this matter. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of the accident."
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed they were called around 4.24pm to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian in central Mold.
They responded with one emergency ambulance and one patient was transported to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
North Wales Police say the incident involved a VW Golf and the young boy was taken to hospital with 'serious but not life threatening injuries'.
